We strive to offer the most cost-effective solutions to your project’s unique requirements, starting with a free quote and honest, up-front scope of work.

Design & Install: We design a lightning protection and grounding layout optimized for your structure. Whether your system is simple or complex, we give it the same careful attention to detail. Our installation team then coordinates with the building contractors to bring the design to fruition.

Lightning Protection FAQs

Can You Recertify an Existing Lightning Protection System?
All certifications are limited in their timespan, requiring reexamination to ensure continued performance. UL Master Label Certification, for example, is valid for five years. At AC Lightning Protection of Michigan, we are happy to work with you to obtain recertification for an existing system and walk you through best practices for system maintenance.
What Industry Standards Do Lightning Protection Systems Comply With?
Our commercial lightning protection systems are designed to meet and exceed the following industry standards: LPI 175, NFPA 780, and UL 96A. At AC Lightning of Michigan, we arrange to have every system UL and/or LPI certified and provide you with the necessary credentials. We are also happy to work with unique local and municipal compliance codes if necessary.
Do I Need Lightning Protection?
Just one bolt of lightning can carry millions of volts, wreaking havoc on a building’s external structure and internal electrical components. A lightning protection system protects these components. If your business relies on networked computers, sensitive equipment or machinery, or potentially hazardous materials, you need lightning protection.
